Inner Islands Tour

8 days and 7 nights. The routing depends on winds and weather. Decision are with the captain, exclusively. Departure always on Saturdays from Mahé.

First Day:

Embarkation of the vessel between 10:30 am and 12:00 on the Inter Island Quay, Victoria Harbour in Mahé. The Sea Star will set sails to the St. Anne Marine Park, where you will spend the afternoon with relaxing, snorkelling and water sport activities. In the evening, the crew will cook a welcome barbecue for you.

Second Day:
Early in the morning, the ship will head for the beautiful island of La Digue. Impressing colonial manor houses can be admired in the Union Estate. However, the highlight of your excursion (either by ox cart, bicycle or on foot) will be the visit of Anse Source d'Argent being famous for its exceptional beauty by the Bacardi advertisement campaign.

Third Day:
During your breakfast, you will sail to the paradise-like islands of Grande Soeur and Petite Soeur with their golden coloured beaches being among the most beautiful areas of the world. In the afternoon you sail to the natural reserve of Coco Island for snorkelling and diving.

Fourth Day:
Your destination for today will be the Bay of Ste. Anne on Praslin, the second largest granite island of the Seychelles and famous for the unspoilt beauty of the Vallée de Mai. In the spectacular jungle you will encounter the six kinds of palmtrees, growing only in the Seychelles. Among these trees is the legendary Coco de Mer, that can be found only here and on the Island of Curieuse. With a bit of luck and skill, you also might spot one of the very rare Seychelles Black Parrots.

Fifth Day:

Today you are heading to Booby Island, where you spend the entire morning diving, snorkelling or swimming. In the afternoon, you will take an exploration on the Island of Cousin. Apart from the various colourful and interesting birds, the island is the home of the Seychelles Reed Warbler as well as the Magpie-Robin, two of the rarest bird species of the world. During the main hatching time, also Hawksbill Turtles go ashore for their egg deposition. After these fascinating expeditions to the animal kingdom, you will go back to the Sea Star to relax and enjoy the romantic sunset while dropping anchor for the night off the Island of Cousin.

Sixth Day:
Sail to the Island of Curieuse, where you will take a morning excursion visiting a giant tortoise breeding farm. You will pass mangrove woods and see innumerable giant crabs and walk over a hill with a fantastic view until you finally reach a golden colored sand beach and the turquoise sea. The afternoon will be spent diving, swimming, snorkelling and sun-bathing.

Seventh Day:
Sailing back in the direction of Mahé. On your way, you might cast the fishing rods for the last time or easily watch passing the islands. On your way you will stop at the Island of Sêche with the last chance to swim, snorkel or dive. Later, you will enjoy the Farewell Barbecue before returning to the harbour of Victoria, where you will spend your last night onboard of the Sea Star.

Eighth Day:
Disembarkation on the Inter Island Quay, New Port, Victoria, Mahé at 8.30 am.
