Sailing cruise in the Seychelles onboard of the yacht Sea Star


The SY Sea Star is an oceangoing, 3 masted custom built schooner with a trunk of welded steel, 42 m long and 8,20 m wide. The yacht features large cabins and bathrooms, spacious decks and salons. Owner of the Sea Star is the "Silhouette Cruises Shipping Company" in Mahé.

Crew
The vessel sails under the command of Captain Tel Saar, a native Israeli and diving instructor with PADI, SSI and CMAS-Certificate. The crew on board consists of 8 members coming from all over the world with everyone speaking English and some of them speaking French. Generally, a German speaking stewardess is on board.

Specifications
The front salon (30 qm) is used as the dining room. Here, also a HIFI, CD, TV/ DVD-equipment is installed. The rear salon (30 qm) is the living room an equipped with a bar. The chef of the cuisine is Seychellois and pampers the guests with Creole and international dishes.

The SY Sea Star features nine guest-cabins and three crew-cabins. Eight spacious guest cabins are equipped with en suite shower, toilet, air condition, individually adjustable, and double bed with four of them offering an additional single bed. The large master cabin (16 qm), called "Honeymoon Cove" is offered to honeymooners without a supplement payment.

All decks over the steel trunk are covered with teak wood. The spacious front sun deck is equipped with mattresses and cushions as a sun terrace. A sun sail covers half of the front deck area. Above, the upper sun deck is located, also offering comfortable mattresses. On the rear deck, also partly covered with a sun sail, guests can relax in a sitting area with a bank at the heck of the vessel and a large table for open-air buffets.

Sailing and diving
The sailing yacht starts for cruises offering a mixture of sailing and diving trips. Usually, two with a maximum of three dives per day are offered with a PADI-diving instructor being on board every time. Additional equipment offered for sport fans: canoes, snorkelling equipment, water ski, banana boat, windsurfing boards and fishing gear.
