Our vessel is an ocean-going 2-mast and six stay-sail schooner, built 1998.
It has a steel hull, a length of 29 m and a beam of 7 m.
The entire interior of the yacht is of a sophisticated mahogany design. The
yacht is fully air conditioned. The boat sails under the command of a very
experienced Maldivian captain and his polyglot crew.
SV Dream Voyager has six double-cabins which feature a double bed, each
with a closed space to store the luggage underneath, a cupboard, a shower
cabin and a WC. All cabins are air-conditioned. The big saloon is equipped
with Captain's Bar, TV and a small library on the underwater flora and
fauna of the Indian Ocean. The deck is covered with teakwood. Aft and
mid-ships we find large sun-decks covered with cushions.
Meals will partly be served as a buffet, partly at the table. For barbeques
on board or on land the boat has a grill.
Our cruises are sailing and diving cruises with an average of two dives a
day. To avoid unnecessary noise from the compressor a separate diving
Dhoni (a local motorised vessel) accompanies us with compressors, tanks and
all other diving gear on board.
Whenever wind, weather and our routing allow, SV Dream Voyager will put
up sails. Guests help in sailing - while not a must - is readily accepted.
