Catamaran Walkabout - Experience the beauty of the Seychelles
The Crew
Jacobus (Blackie) and Madeline Swart are a very friendly couple who met in their
native South Africa and have been happily married for over 14 years.
After a long and distinguished career in the insurance
industry Blackie rediscovered his love for sailing, which lured him to the
high seas aboard their 40 ft yacht. He has amassed over 8000 sea
miles including a transatlantic passage from South
Africa to the United States, cruising extensively en-route.
Madeline's (36) successful career in insurance and banking has been replaced
with a career in entertaining. As a qualified skipper, she was as eager as
Blackie to set sail for adventures aboard their own yacht and to explore the
Caribbean! Her competence at the helm is matched only by her creative flare in the
galley and enthusiasm to explore the secrets below the surface. Madeline
will happily share her snorkeling adventures with you. Her International cooking
skills reflects her extensive travels and as a hostess she provides a
perfectly relaxed ambiance on board the Walkabout. After sailing in the
Caribbean Sea, Blackie and Madeline are now offering their
sailing experience to visitors of the Seychelles.
The Facilities
The Walkabout is a VOYAGE 500 and was designed and built by
VOYAGE Yachts to cater for the demanding Luxury Crewed Charter market.
Walkabout was launched early 2001 in Cape Town, she was then sailed across
to the Seychelles. The catamaran offers four guest cabins, each with a private
bathroom, king-size bed, air conditioning, ventilator and CD player. It also
has a gourmet galley, a spacious salon, a bar with panoramic views and plenty
of deck space for sunbathing and relaxing. If that's not enough, there is also
a stereo system, video and TV for your entertainment. On a more practical note,
the yacht is also equipped with a generator, a water maker and a mobile
phone. It can easily accommodate eight people for an unforgettable holiday.
Watersports
Our extensive equipment includes full snorkeling and diving gear. Easy access
from the diver's platform and on-deck showers ensure the guests' comfort.
Relax and sunbath on the large deck after waterskiing, kayaking or wake
boarding.
